Financial Crisis

How is the financial crisis affecting everyone's collecting? I'm interested in perspectives!

I put collecting on hold a while back now. Not due to the financial crisis directly, but because:

1) I bought a house
2) The Australian dollar dropped significantly (which meant that the shipping costs from the US got way too high)

The second point is sort of related to the financial crisis though. Our dollar got stronger against the US$ because it (the US$) was suffering so badly back then.

That said, I've got my Conquests of Camelot and QFG2VGA posters in the shop getting framed at the moment - so I haven't stopped everything!

For the most part I have put on hold my collecting.

There are a few items I would love still to get but at the current price I just wont bite.

I began collecting back in mid summer of 2008, mostly Nintendo stuff. I've pretty much funded my entire collection through reselling, so the economy hasn't had much of an effect on me. I don't really spend much personal money on this hobby... and I wouldn't have nearly as big of a collection if I did.
